random thoughts

It has been just a normal week around here for us. I can't believe how fast January is flying by! I have been thinking the past couple of months about age. I have had a hard time turning 26, just feeling torn between thinking that I would feel older and more mature but that I still feel young. I think that a lot of my confusion comes from only having 1 child. Most people around me, or my age have at least 2. I have talked a lot with people about age, families and babies. My conclusion is that yes I am 26 and only have one child, but I really feel like my Heavenly Father knows me and Chad and that we will know when it is time to add to our family. We think we will start "trying" again closer towards the end of the year. But I know myself and know that I could not handle "well" my children being closer together than 2+ years. I have been thinking about miracles and blessings the big and the small. As I was running errands last week, the skies were blue and clear, and snow covered the lawns and fields around. I specifically was amazed at how entire tree branches were covered in snow, and how at random parts little flakes of snow were swirling around down towards the ground. Like magic. It reminds me of when my grandma says she doesn't know how anyone can look at a newborn baby and not believe in God. I am where I need to be, and even though I may get a little panicky about age, I know that there is an individual plan for me and my family, and am thankful for that knowledge.

Believe it or not, I somewhat envy my friends that only have one child! I'm only a couple months younger than you! What you said about Heavenly Father knowing what's right for you! As far as kids go - I definitely believe in that! You're awesome!

Jamee.... I love you, but seriously?! You are not old! Because if you're old with only one kid then, I'd hate to know what I am! Quit compairing yourself to the Jones'! Be your own person & love whoever that person is & what they're about! Life is too short to be worrying about what you "should" be doing or how old you "should" be feeling. Trust this from someone who is older than you but wiser than her years... Enjoy your youth! There will be plenty of time for all of that, but what's the point in running a race if you can't take time out for a water break now & then eh?! Just enjoy life & live it to the fullest. When it's all over, you'll regret that more than anything!!! -Don't roll your eyes...

I'm so glad I found your blog. Thanks for the reminder to look for the miracles in life, especially the small ones--like the snow on the trees, even when I want it to be spring.

Jamee, I know what you mean.. sort of! I had a baby at 20 but I did feel old at 26! I feel really old at 29 and 4 months old! This is my 30th year on this earth and I am always comparing myself to everyone! You and Chad will know what is best for your family. You are a sweetheart!

Jamee, I am on that same boat as you. I just turned 26 and I am like the oldest wife here, where my husband is going to school. But you know what? You better get going, because we are trying for #2. I am glad I found your blog, I have no idea why it took me so long! I am excited to keep in touch with you better!
